Engineering Capabilities includes performing thermal Rating, Design & Simulation on HTRI and mechanical designing of heat exchanger. Mechanical Designing in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1, Div. 2,, TEMA R-B-C (Good Engineering Practice), API 660, 661, IS 2825 & IS 4503.

UHTPL program covers temperature related thermal properties of process oils, taken from product specification sheets of the Shell, Mobil Oil and Exxon company may be called by including the data in the thermal, hydraulic design.

The following properties are generated for different viscosity classes

  • Kinematic viscosity.
  • Density.
  • Heat conductivity.
  • Specific heat capacity.

UHTPL oil coolers are suitable for heat transfer fluids, lubricating oils and quenching oils. (We advise to check viscosity while selecting the cooler). UHTPL Oil cooler are removable floating bundle heat exchanger, allowing differential thermal expansion between shell and tubes as well as between individual tubes. Bundle can be easily removed and cleaned, if necessary.

We have listed out some of typical examples of oil cooler performance based on following operating fluid data:

  • Oil type and its viscosity at specified temperature
  • Oil flow in LPM
  • Oil outlet temperature in °C.
  • Heat being dissipated
  • Inlet temperature of cooling water

Following points shall be taken care of while installing / selecting oil cooler:

  • Cooler fluids should be arranged to have benefit of counter flow.
  • During the shutdowns over-pressurization shall be avoided.
  • Cooling water flow rate must be followed.
  • Cooling water considered is with pH value between 7.2-7.4. You may ask for required water quality parameters before selecting the water.
  • Oil pressure in the cooler shall be kept higher than water pressure. This will avoid contamination of oil with water in case of any unfortunate leakage.
